3、torsdiscussedintheliterature,discussedsevenissues:codingsystem,workingprocessreengineering,priorityofERPfunctionalityimplementation,customization,participantroles,consultantroleandperformancelevelofsubcontractor,whichalsoaffectedtheimplementation.Lessonslearnedfromthecasestudyindiscussedsevenissues
4、arevaluableforaconstructioncompanyindecidingtoimplementanERPsystem.ThisstudysuggeststhatadditionalcasestudiesarenecessaryforthesuccessfulapplicationofERPsystemsintheconstructionindustry.ERPimplementationisa'TriplePlay'thatcombinespeople,technology,andprocesses.Itembodiesacompleximplementationproces
5、s,especiallyindevelopingcountrieslikeChina,oftentakingseveralyears,hugeamountoffundandinvolvingamajorbusinessprocessreengineeringexercise.AnattempthasbeenmadetoidentifysomeChinese-specificdifficultiesintheimplementationprocessandprovidesolutionstoimplementERPsystemsuccessfullythroughquestionnairesu
6、rvey,interviews,andsecondarydata.Onthebasisofanalysisofquestionnaireresults,somecommondifficultieshavebeenexploredbyauthors,suchassupportoftopmanagement,costlyandtime-consuming,culturaldifferences,technicalcomplexity,lackofprofessionalpersonnel,andinnerresistance.Thedifficultiesarelargelyduetothena
