3、chofwhichwasstockedwith1,000tilapia(O.niloticus).Thegrowthofthefishwasevaluatedfromastartingweightof2gtoafinalaverageweightof418g,duringaproductioncyclefromJuly2008toJanuary2009.Ourobjectivewastodevelopnewtechnologicalapproaches,basedonfuzzylogiccontrol,tointegrateintonovelautomated
4、equipmentforrecirculationaquaculturesystemsusedforfishproductionunderintensiveconditions.Thistechniqueallowsfarmerstoincorporatetheirknowledgeandexperienceintothecontrolsystem.Theresultsdemonstratedasubstantialwatersavingsof97.42%.Therewasatotalfishbiomassproductionof1,655.3kgandana
5、veragefeedconversionrateof1.55.Theenvironmentalvariableswerekeptwithinacceptablerangesfortilapiaproduction.Weconcludethatitispossibletoincreasetheproductivityandprofit-abilityofaquaculturesystems,byapplyingnewapproachesbasedonmoderncontroltechniques,suchasfuzzylogiccontrol,thatprom
