3、juvenilesofA．japonicuswerecarriedout．ThepurposeoftheseresearchesaretofindthepathogenSOthatwecanpreventandcurethedisease．Thediseasedspecimensincludinglavae，juvenileandadultsweremainlycollectedfromtheaffectedfarmsofA．japonicusinLaizhoucityofShandongprovince·Theepizootiologyonfieldshowedthatthediseas

4、eisverycontagiousandmaycausedeathofdiseasedanimalswithin3days．Theodginsignofthisulcerativediseasewasawhitespotthatappearedontheintegumentofdiseasedanimals，closetothecloacarapertureormouthorwound．Thespotextendsquicklyontothewholeintegumentinshorttimeandleadtothedeathofdiseasedanimals．Itwasseentllat

5、diseasedanimalsappearedseriousdestroyoftissue．Alargenumberofshortrod‘shapedbacteriawerefoundinsliceoftheseacucumberbytransmissionelectronmicroscopy．ItWasobservedthatthelesionsformedaseriesofZoIleSwherenleepidermiswerecompletelydestroyedunderlightmicroscopy．Thecolonyofbacteriumissmall，about2-4mmaft
