3、capacityinAsiaandtheMiddleEast.In2009and2010,thenewly-increasedcapacityinAsiawas1.8milliontonsand7.29milliontonsrespectively,whiletheywere5.22milliontonsand1.6milliontonsintheMiddleEast.TherapidcapacityexpansionintheMiddleEastwillexertconsiderableinfluenceo
4、nChina’sethylenemarket.In2009,theglobalethylenecapacityreached137milliontons,anditisexpectedtorealize145milliontonsin2010.GlobalEthyleneCapacity,2007-2010(mlntons)In2009,theglobalethyleneconsumptiontouched111milliontons.Itisexpectedthatethylenedemandwillinc
5、reasebyover3%tomorethan114milliontonsin2010.Byregion,thedemandgrowthislimitedinthematuremarketsofdevelopedcounties;Asiahasbecomethemajorcontributortotherobustdemandgrowth,andwillaccountfor60%oftheglobaldemandsurgeintheupcoming5years,andhalfoftheAsiandemandg
