4、co-utilizedwithdietaryproteinsources.Dr.SimeonshypothesizedthatHCG,whichisproducedinthefemalebodyinlargequantitiesduringpregnancyandinquantitiesranginganywherefrom5000mlU/mlto288,000mjU/ml,hadasignificantroleinnotonlyproducingahealthyplacentaforthefetustosurvive,butalsohadarole
5、inmetabolizingfatsdepositsfromthemother’ssubcutaneousfatstoresasanadditionalfoodsourceforthefetus.Dr.SimeonstheorizedthatbygivingdailyinjectionsofsmallamountsofHCGconcurrentwithacontrolledlowcaloriediet,thattheHCGwouldmobilizethefatintothebloodstreamwhereproteinandvariousenzyme
