3、processparameters,whichwillinsureproductionofthesinteredactivatedcarbon(AC)cylindricalblocksfordrinkingwaterfiltration.Generally,ouraimwastoobtaincleananduncontaminatedwater,refinedfromhighchlorinecontentandsubstancesresponsibleforthewateraroma,colourortast
4、e.ConductedresearchincludedACandpolyethylenepowderscaracterization,mixedpowdershot-pressingtreatmentandobtainedporouscompactblockscharacterizationandanalysis.Scanningelectonmicroscopy(SEM)wasusedformicrostructuralcharacterization,whileBETanalysiswasconducte
5、dinordertodeterminespecificsurfaceareaofobtainedporouscompacts.Bindingmaterialcontentandhot-pressingpressureasafunctionofwaterflowdurationthroughtheporouscylinderwerealsodetermined.ResultsobtainedduringthisresearchshouldcontributetobetterunderstandingoftheA
