1、ABSTRACTAsanactivewayofremotesensingdetection,syntheticapertureradar(SAR)hastheall-weather,day/night,high-resolutionandlongrangeimagingcapabilities.Insomecomplexenvironment,SARimagingcanobtainbetterresultsthanopticalimagingandinfraredimaging.Therefore,SARimaging
2、isahotresearchtopicinradarcommunityandhasfoundwideapplicationsinmilitaryandcivilianarea.Duetoatmosphericturbulence,airborneSAR,especiallythelow-altitudeUAVplatform,undergoesgreatdeviationsfromtheidealstraighttrajectory.Ifmotioncompensationisnotappliedforimagefor
3、mation,theimagequalitywillleadtoaseriousdegradation.SupportedbytheNationalNaturalScienceFoundationofChinaunderGrantNo.11176022,thispaperprovidesadetailedinvestigationonradarimagingalgorithmsandcompensationtechniquesforrawdata.Thisthesisisorganizedasfollows:First
4、ly,thebasicsofSARimagingandseveralevaluationmetricsareintroduced.Then,twoclassicalimagingalgorithms,i.e.,Range-Doppleralgorithm(RDA)andChirpScalingalgorithm(CSA),areinvestigatedbyprovidingdetailedtheoreticalderivationandpointtargetssimulationresults,whichprovide
5、satheoreticalfoundationforthefollowingmotioncompensation.Basedontheanalysisofthemotionerrormodelforbroad-sidelookingSAR,detailsofthemotioncompensationispresented.ThemethodsforestimatingtheDopplercentroid,theDopplerrate,motionparametersarediscussed.Then,basedonth
6、erawdata,themotionerroralongthelineofsightandtheazimuthdirectionarewellcompensated.Further,thephasegradientautofocus(PGA)methodisemployedtoremovetheresidualthreeorhigherorderphaseerror.Sinceaunifiedphaseiscompensatedforazimuthmotion,theinducedgeometricdistortion
