1、AbstractABSTRACTRecently,compositeright/lefthandedtransmissionline(CRLHTL)hasdrawnattentionofresearchersinandabroadsinceitsuniqueelectromagneticproperties.Itslefthandpropertiesfindgreatimportanceinpassivecomponentsminiaturization.BasedontheinterdigitalCRLHTLunitcellstructure,somebasice
2、lectromagneticpropertiessuchasmixedcoupling,resonancemodewillbeanalyzed.Theunitcellisthenappliedinvariousfilterdesignsasanoveltypeofresonator.Theoriginalworkandvaluableresultsofthedissertationisasfollows:1.TheCRLHTLdispersioncurveisanalyzedandkeyparametersthatdecidethedispersionrelatio
3、nshiparefound.Then,negativeorderresonancemodeandzerothorderresonancemodeoftheunitcellareanalyzed.Besides,themethodofparameterextractionfortheinterdigitalCRLHTLunitisgiven.2.BasedontheCRLHresonator,asecondorderwidestopbandbandpassfilterwithchebysheveresponseisdesigned,andbyutilizingcros
4、scouplingandmixedcouplingtechniques,bandskirtofthefilterisimprovedwhileotheradvantagesinsizeandstopbandperformanceoftheoriginalfilterremain.3.Basedontwoofthemostcommonlyusedmethodsfordual-bandpassfilterdesign,twonovelCRLHdual-bandpassfiltersaregiven.Thefirstoneisinaparalleltopologyandt
5、hesecondoneisbasedonaCRLHdual-moderesonator.Thisnovelresonatorhastworesonancemodeswithonlyoneunitcell.4.SomebandstopfiltersaredesignedbasedontheCRLHresonator.Miniaturizationisrealizedbymakinguseofitsnovelresonancemodes.Theproposeddual-bandstopfilterhasadvantagesbothinsizeandfilteringpe
