2、grateddesignoffiltersandantennas.Theauthor'smaincontributionscanbesummarizedasfollows:1.Combinedwithafilterusingmicrostripsplit-ringresonator,amonopolefilter-antennaisproposed.Theoperatingfrequenciesofthemonopoleantennaarefrom3.1GHzto10.6GHz,andthoseofthefilterare7.75-8.3GHz.Byintroducinganim
3、pedancetransformerbetweentheantennaandthefilter,thedeteriorationcausedbytheimpedancemismatchingcanbeeliminated,andthentheperformanceofthefilter-antennacanbeenhanced.Thereflectioncoefficientcharacteristicsofthefilter-antennawithdifferentarmlengthsandfeedinglinewidthsareanalyzed,withotherparame
4、tersfixed.Theeffectoftheimpedancetransformerisalsodiscussed.Theproposedfilter-antennahasbeenfabricatedandmeasured.Themeasuredresultsagreepreferablywiththesimulatedresults.2.Ahalf-wavedipolefilter-antennacombinedwithaSIWfilterforWLAN5GHzapplicationispresented.Theoperatingfrequenciesofthedipole
5、arefrom4.5GHzto5.5GHz,andthoseofthefilterare4.75-5.25GHz.Twodifferentfeedstructures,thecouplingstructureandthebalanceddual-linestructure,areutilizedforfindingabetterperformance.Consideringconvenientcombinationwiththefilter,thebalanceddual-linestructureisused.Then,thedesignstepsofanevanescentm
