1、AbstractAbstractMetamaterialisoneoftheresearchhotspotsinphysicsandelectromagnetics.Asaclassofartificialmedium,metamaterialhasmanyuniqueproperties.ArrayantennabasedonmetamaterialswhichconsistsofCompositeRight/Left-handedTransmissionLine(CompositeRight/Left-handedTransmissionLine,CRL
2、H-TL)andSplitRingResonator(SplitRingResonator,SRR)isstudied.Theworksareasfollows:First,theminiaturizationofarrayantennaisrealizedbyloadingCRLH-TL.AccordingtothelargephaseshiftcharacteristicofCRLH-TL,anewPLPDAwhichsubstitutesprintedlog-periodicdipolearray(PrintedLog-periodicDipoleAr
3、ray,PLPDA)antenna’scollectionlinewithCRLH-TLisproposed.ThestandingwaveandgainofthenewPLPDAaresimulatedandtested.CompareditwithtraditionalPLPDAwhichworksatthesamefrequency,theresultsshowthatthenewPLPDAhasthecharacteristicsofsingle-facerealization,easyprocessing,andsmallsize(thelongi
4、tudinalsizeofantennaisreducedby1/3).Second,thebeamscanningofarrayantennaisrealizedbyloadingtunableCRLH-TL.AccordingtothearbitraryphaseshiftcharacteristicoftunableCRLH-TL,anelectricitysteerableseries-fedpatcharrayantennafor2.4GHzapplicationisdesigned.Inordertoexendtheirtuningrangean
5、dmaintainalowreturnloss,tunableactiveinductorsandvaractorsareused.Inordertohaveidenticalinterstagephaseshifter,λ4impedancetransformerisused.Theexperimentconfirmsthat-15degreesto25degreescontinuousbeamscanningoftheproposedantennaisrealizedandsmallerbeamtiltwithfrequencyonbroadsidei
6、sachieved.Moreover,tunablephasedshiftersintegratedwithprintedarraytogether.Soitismoresuitabletosolvetheapplicationsofelectronicallysteerablephasedarrayinhighprecisionmilitaryradarsystemsandsatellitecommunications.Third,themutualcouplingsuppressionbetweenarrayantennasisrealizedbyloa
7、dingSRR.Anewtypeofgrounedsplitringresonatorwithelectricresonancecharacteristicsisdesigned.Eelectromagneticparametersaresimulatedbywaveguidemethod,sothehinderingelectromagneticwavepropagationcharacteristicsofSRRareobtained.Andsurfacewaveisthemainsourceofmicrostriparraymutualcoupling
