2、，2011摘要随着科学技术的进步、科技交流的目益频繁，科技翻译作为一种交流媒介，其重要性也日益彰显出来。研究和探讨科技英语翻译的策略和技巧对提高科技翻译产品的质量十分必要，而对长难句的分析和处理又是其中的一个重点和难点。科技英语源于普通英语又区别于普通英语，在词汇、修辞及句法等方面都有其独特之处。尤其是在句法方面，具有频繁使用被动语态、经常使用非谓语动词、大量使用名词化结构和多使用长句的特点，其中最突出之处就是使用大量长句。本文主要介绍了科技英语的句法特点、科技英语中的长句的特征及其界定，指出长句是一个原型范畴，并对其翻译方法进行了归类分析。此外，笔者结合自身的翻译实践，利用自
