6、ablishedasnonrelativisticquantummechanics.Inthe1970sand1980s,becauseofthegrowingsuccessofgaugetheories,itwasclearthatatypical1-yearcourseinquantumfieldtheorywasrapidlybecomingobsolete.Anumberofadvancedbooksappearedonvariousaspectsofgaugetheories,sooftena1-year
7、courseonquantumfieldtheorybecamedisjoint,withonebookonQEDbeingthebasisofthefirstsemesterandoneofseveralbooksonvariousaspectsofgaugetheoriesbeingthebasisofthesecondsemester.Today,becauseofthesuccessoftheStandardModel,itisnecessarytocon-solidateandexpandthetypic
