5、rystalofSodiumIodide.Whenagammarayfromtheformationorelsewherestrikesthecrystal,aphotonoflightisemitted(thecrystalscintillates).Theleveloflightistoosmalltobedetected,thereforeaphotomultipliertubeisusedtoamplifythesignal.ThePMTtuberequiresahighvoltagetooperatewhichisge
