2、%inChina.ScreeningforCRCallowsearly.stagediagnosisofthemalignancyandpotentiallyreducesmortalityofthedisease.ThelaterthepatientisdiagnosedasCRC,thepoorertheprognosisis.AlthoughcolonoscopicscreeningforCRCiscurrentlythemostreliablescreeningtool,theinvasivenatureandthecostincurredhavehamperedthewi

3、deapplicationofthisprocedure.Ontheotherhand,thefaecaloccultbloodtest(FOBT)hasthelimitationoflowsensitivityandrequiresmeticulousdietaryrestriction.Thus,thereisapressingneedfornewnon—invasivebiomarkerstoimprovethedetectionofCRC.AlthoughCEAorCA19.9isusefultumormarkerforthedetectionandmonitoringof

4、CRCdevelopment,thesensitivityislessthan50%respectivelyandnon-specific.IfanewtumormarkerhasmoresensitivityandCanbedetectedintheprimarystageofCRC,itispossibletoextrapolatethelikelihoodofamalignantcolorectaltumor.Thus,discoveryofnewtargetmoleculesthatarecriticallyinvolvedinthemajorityofcasesandex

5、pressedspecificallyintumorswillbeessentialtounderstandthemechanismsandimprovetherapeuticinterventionandprognosisofCRC.MicroRNAs(miRNA)representaclassofevolutionarilyconservedsmallABSTRACTnoncodingRNAs(18-25nt)thatcontrolgeneexpressionbytargetingrnRNAandtriggedngeithertranslmionrepressionormRNA

6、degradation,ThemiRNAsplayimportantrolesinthedevelopment,differentiationandfunctionofvariouscelltypes,andinthepathogenesisofvarioushumandiseases,includingcancer.Currently,morettlan800humanmiRNAshavebeenfoundandregisteredinthemiRNAdatabase,miRBase.Strikingly,about30%ofprotein-codinghumantranscri
