2、parrestaspreservationsofmaritimeclaims.Thesecondpartisaboutthelegalaspectsofshiparrest,suchasthesubject,objectandthecontentoftheshiparrest.Thesubjectincludesmaritimecourt,claimantandrespondentinmaritimedispute.Theobjectincludeswhatcanbearrestedinshiparrest,i.e.,theshipindisputean
3、dotherrelatedshipinthismaritimeclaim.Sincethereisnostandardpracticeindifferentcountries,therefore,whatcanbearrestedinshiparresthastobeclearlydefinedforeachcountries,inordertoeliminatefalsearrest.Thethirdpartwilldiscusshowtosolvejurisdictionalconflictsinshiparrest.Jurisdictionalco
4、nflictshascloserelationwithclaimant’ssuingplace,whereasthesuingplacehascloserelationwiththematerialaspectoftheshiparrest.Thisthesiswillbeconfinedtodiscusstheshiparrestandmaterialjurisdiction,inordertosolvethejurisdictionalconflictsinshiparrest.Asourlegislatureontheissueofjurisdic
5、tionalconflictispoor,theauthortaketheviewthatwehavetorespecttheautonomouschoiceofthepartiesindispute,rathertheprincipleoffacilitatingthecourt,theprincipleofcloselinkandprincipleofenforcementofawards.Tosolvetheproblemonacasetocasebasis,toprotecttherightofthepartiesindisputeThefort
