3、ntonperyear,whichalreadypassesoverUnitedStatesandbecomesthenumberoneintheworld.Thebrinepurificationtechnologyalsoevolvedduringthedevelopmentofthisindustry.Thebrinepurificationprocessisoneofmajorprocessinmanufacturingchlorineandcausticsoda.Thequalityofbrineusedintheelectrodialysisprocessiscl

4、oselyrelatedtothelifeofthemembraneandthediaphragmcellandthetechnicalandeconomicalperformanceoftheelectrodialysisprocess.Becausethebrinequalitydirectlyaffectsthe-III-powerconsumptionduringtheproductionandthelifeofionicexchangemembrane,thewaytoincreasethebrinequalityhasalwaysbeenthegoalofthec

5、hloro-alkaliindustry.Thetraditionalbrinepurificationprocessusingcoagulationandsedimentationareineffectiveinremovingcalcium,magnesiumandothersuspendedsolids,whichbecomeoneofthemajorproblemsduringoperationofelectrodialysis.Recently,thebrinepurificationprocessutilizesthe“pretreatment+membranes
