2、impedance,etc.Becauseofthesemerits,itisusedmoreandmorewidelyinmicro-waveandmillimeter-wavedevices.Inearlyresearchofridgewaveguide,theymainlyresearchsingle-ridgewaveguideanddouble-ridgewaveguide,then,therecentresearchismorecomplicatedstructureofridgewaveguide,forexample,trapezo
3、idal-ridgewaveguide,antipodal-ridgewaveguide,etc..Inordertomeetsomerequirementsinmodernmicrowavetransmitsystems,itneedstoresearchsomenewwaveguideswithespecialsections.Theninproductionandpractice,owingtosomereasons,suchasproduction,assembly,use,andsoon,whichcanbringaboutdeforma
4、tionsofridgewaveguide.Anditishelpfultoreinforcepracticeusetoanalyzedeformationsofridgewaveguidetoinfluenceoftransmissioncharacteristic.Therearefourchaptersinthispaper.Infirstchapter,developmentofridgewaveguide,andtheimportanceinpracticeofthispaperareintroduced;Insecondchapter,
5、therearewaveguidetheory,thetransmissioncharacteristicsofthenormalrectangularwaveguide;Inthirdchapter,thefiniteelementmethodemployedinthispaperisintroduced;Infourthchapter,thetransmissioncharacteristicsofmanykindsofridgewaveguideindifferentdeformationsisobtainedbyemployingthefi
6、niteelementmethod.Onthebasisofexistingdata,choosinggeometrydimensionofridgewaveguideinthebettertransmissioncharacteristics,thecalculationresultsarecomparedwiththedatathatpublishedonforeignandhomeauthoritativeissues,comparisonbetweentheliteraturedataandthecomputedresultsinthisp
7、apercanbefoundthattheresultsinthispaperagreewellwiththeliteraturedata,whichprovethatthemethodandtheprogramareeffectiveandaccurateenough.ThepaperusesthefiniteelementPDEtoolboxintheMatlabenvironmenttoobtainthetransmissioncharacteristicsofthewaveguideindisplacementdeformationandd
