2、ndbehaviour''(LinnandMyles,2004,pp.3).StudiescarriedoutinEuropeindicatedthattheprevalenceofASrangedashighas48.4per10,000children(FombonneandTidmarsh,2003,pp.17-18),suggestingthatschoolscanencounterchildrendiagnosedwithAS(Bauer,1996).Asamatteroffact,studentswi
3、thASarenotuncommoninregularschoolenvironments(Goble,1995;Bauer,1996),theypresentachallengeforteacherswhowishtodevelopinclusionstrategiesfortheminmainstreamclassrooms(Horrocksetal.,2008,pp.102).InChina,childrenwithdisabilitiesusedtoberemovedfromtheregulareduca
4、tionalsystem(Dengetal.,2001).Whilethepracticehasstartedtochangeaftertheimplementationof''SuibanJiuduPolicy''(i.e.learninginregularclassrooms),schoolsmaystillreluctanttorecruitdisabledstudentsincludingthosewithAS(Sunetal.,2013,pp.87),becausetheyarelackofconfid
5、enceinsupportingstudentswithphysicalormentalchallenges(Tougher,2012,pp.17-20),andinadditionthepolicynewlyintroducedisnotmandatory(HuangandWheeler,2007).Asaconsequence,manychildrenwithASinChinacannotgetintoordinaryschools(Sunetal.,2013,pp.89).Thisresearchproje
6、ctwillprobeintoinclusionstrategiesforteachersinmainstreamschoolswithahopethatitwillhelpchildrenwithASinChina.AimandObjectivesToassistChinesemainstreamteacherstodevelopstrategiesfortheinclusionofstudentswithAS,thisstudyisdesignedtoexploretheeducationaloptionsi
7、nrelationtoincludingchildrenwithAS.Inparticular,thestudyhasthefollowingobjectives:(I)ToprovideanoverviewofclassroomstrategiesforincludingstudentswithASfoundinliterature;(II)ToexploreChineseteachers'perspectivesoninclusiveeducationforstudentswithASsuffered;(II
8、I)TodeterminewhatstrategiesteachersusetosupportchildrenwithASareeffectiveinmainstreamclassroomsinChina.TheresultofthestudycouldbevaluabletoChinesemainstreamteachersindevelopingbestpractic
