3、391AbstractForgasturbineengineperformanceanalysis,avarietyofsimulationtoolsisavailable.Inordertominimizemodeldevelopmentandsoftwaremaintenancecosts,genericgasturbinesystemsimulationtoolsarerequiredfornewmodelingtasks.Manymodelingaspectsremainenginespecifichoweverandstillrequirelargeimplementa

4、tionefforts.Oneofthoseaspectsisadaptivemodeling.Therefore,anadaptivemodelingfunctionalityhasbeendevelopedthatcanbeimplementedinagenericcomponentbasedgasturbineenvironment.Asinglecomponentinasystemmodelingenvironmentisabletoturnanyneworexistingmodelintoanadaptivemodelwithoutextracoding.Theconc

5、epthasbeendemonstratedintheGSPgasturbinemodelingenvironment.Anobject-orientedarchitectureallowsautomaticadditionofthenecessaryequationsfortheadaptationtomeasurementvalues.Usingtheadaptivemodelingcomponent,theusercanpre-configuretheadaptivemodelandquicklyoptimizegaspathdiagnosticscapabilityusi

6、ngexperimentationwithfielddata.Theresultingadaptivemodelcanbeusedbygasturbinemaintenanceengineersfordiagnostics.Inthispapertheintegrationoftheadaptivemodelingfunctionintoasystemmodelingenvironmentisdescribed.Resultsofacasestudyonalargeturbofanengineapplicationarepresented.AcknowledgementThisw
