2、women.Insomehisplays,womenfightbravelyagainstthefeudalautocracyandpursuevigorouslyfreedomandequality.Butinotherplays,thefemalecharactersseemtobeweakonesordestructiveones.Whydoesoneplaywrighthavesuchacontradictoryconceptonwomen?Inthepastseveraldecadesorcenturies,somescholarshavest
3、udiedthisstrangephenomenon,andtheydrewtheconclusionthatindifferentperiods,thefeaturesofthefemaleinShakespeare’saredifferent.Thefemaleconceptwhichsupportsthefreedomofmarriage,speakshighlyofthehumanityliberation,andadvocatetheloveandfriendshipcouldbefoundintheplaysofShakespeareinth
4、efirstperiod.ManyfamouscharacterslikeJulietorPortiaarecreatedinthisperiod.Theirsimilarityisbraveryinpursuingtheirloveregardlessofthepressurefromtheirfamily.Soweregardtheviewasabudof“feminism”.Butinthesecondperiod,Shakespearechangeshisfemaleconceptcompletely.Inthisperiod,althoughb
