4、tsheusedoldpiecesofwoodandmetal.Heevenmadehisowntools.Patientlyhetestedoneideaafteranother.Foryearshelivedinpoverty,savinghismoneyforhisproject.Fortunately,hesucceededingettingfinancialhelpfromtwobusinessmeninexchangeforatwo-thirdsinterestinhisinvention.Withthisextramoney,Matzelige
5、rfinallyachievedwhathewasafter:Alastingmachinethatcouldturnoutacompleteshoe.Hismachineindeedchangedtheshoeindustry.Itnotonlygreatlyincreasedproductionbutcutthecostofshoesbyhalf.By1889thedemandforthenewlastingmachinebecameworldwide.WhatwasMatzeliger'sreward?Becauseofhislongandhardwo
