5、listicway. TheRenaissance(15thto16thcentury) DuringtheRenaissance,newideasandvaluesgraduallyreplacedthoseheldintheMiddleAges.Peoplebegantoconcentratelessonreligiousthemesandadoptamorehumanisticattitudetolife.AtthesametimepaintersreturnedtoclassicalRomanandGreekideasaboutart.The

6、ytriedtopaintpeopleandnatureastheyreallywere.Richpeoplewantedtopossesstheirownpaintings.sotheycoulddecoratetheirsuperbpalacesandgreathouses.Theypaidfamousartiststopaintpicturesofthemselves,theirhousesandpossessionsaswellastheiractivitiesandachievements. Oneofthemostimportantdis
