3、tesandfiftystateshave50differenteducationsystem.ThereisnodoubtthatmangpeoplepaymuchattentiontothesystemofAmericaneducation.ThemajordifferenceineducationsystembetweenAmericanandmostothercountriesisthattheeducationoftheUnitedStatesisforeveryoneinsociety,notonlyforafewpeople.Americaneduc

4、ationalsystemcanbebestunderstoodasakindofsocialinstitutionsthatreflectthebasicbeliefsandfundamentalprinciplesofthenation,ratherthansimplyakindofskill-trainingplaceswherestudentsarepreparedtogetajob.[1]Allinall,thesystemofAmericaneducationhasitsownspecialfeaturesandattractalotofcountri

5、es’attention.I.TheHistoryofAmericaneducationAsoneofthebasiccontentsofsociallife,educationhasacloserelationshipwithonenation’sgrowth.ThereweremanypeoplegraduatedfromOxfordCollegeandCambridgeCollegebetweenthefirstEnglishsettlerstoAmericainthecolonialeraof17thcentury.Itisestimatedthatthe

6、reisacollegestudentoutofevery40to50families.Thisimmigrationofhighereducationbackgroundmadethemattachgreatimportancetoeducation.AndtheearlyimmigrantsfromEnglandneededakindofculturetohelpthemunderstandTheBiblebythemselvesbecauseoftheirdevotiontoreligion.Thesetwofactorsmadetheeducationof

7、Americastart.HarvardCollegewasfoundedasearlyas1636,onlyfifteenyearsafterthePilgrimFathershadlandedintheNewWorld.[2]WilliamMaryuniversitywasbuiltin1639andYaleuniversitywasestablishedin1701.Before1776whenAmericadeclaredindependencefromGreatBritain,eightothercollegescameintoexistence.[3]
