5、xt.Heclaimsthattheprogressionfromthemetorhemerepresentsthebasicstructureofatext.Asthemeisthestartingpointofamessage,thematicprogressioninparagraphiscloselyrelatedtothewriter’spurposeofwriting.Danesthinksthatfromthepointoftextorganization,itisthethemethatp
6、laysanimportantconstructingrole.Thethematicorganizationofthetextiscloselyconnectedwithhowdiscourseisconnected.Thediscourseanditsparagraphscanberegardedasthesuccessionofthemes.Inacoherentdiscourse,sentencesarenotfreelygroupedtogetherandthereisacertainlawgu
7、idingthetrainthought.Whilepeoplearecreatingatext,theyconnecttheinner-relatedsentencestogethertoexpressacomplicatedidea.Therealthematicprogressionofadiscourseactuallyreferstothecohesionandconnectionofthethemes,therelationshipsbetweenthemesandtheirsubordina
