3、erence.CombiningMIMOwithorthogonalfrequencydivisionmultiplexing(OFDM),itispossibletosignificantlyreducereceivercomplexityasOFDMgreatlysimplifiesequalizationatthereceiver.MIMO-OFDMiscurrentlybeingconsideredforanumberofdevelopingwirelessstandards;consequently,thestudyofMIMO-OFDMinrealisticenv
4、ironmentsisofgreatimportance.ThispaperdescribesanapproachforprototypingaMIMO-OFDMsystemusingaflexiblesoftwaredefinedradio(SDR)systemarchitectureinconjunctionwithcommerciallyavailablehardware.Anemphasisonsoftwarepermitsafocusonalgorithmandsystemdesignissuesratherthanimplementationandhardware
5、configuration.Thepenaltyofthisflexibility,however,isthattheeaseofusecomesattheexpenseofoverallthroughput.Toillustratethebenefitsoftheproposedarchitecture,applicationstoMIMO-OFDMsystemprototypingandpreliminaryMIMOchannelmeasurementsarepresented.Adetaileddescriptionofthehardwareisprovidedalon
