2、于现在搜索引擎作为人们搜索网络信息资源的主要工具，其自身的缺陷使得它们的查准率和查全率无法得到保证。人们往往会检索到大量的重复信息，或是检索到的无关信息太多，内容之间缺乏逻辑性，缺乏对于数据库等稳定的网络信息资源的检索。可以概括为两点，一方面大量无用信息给用户造成检索灾难，另一方面，真正有用的信息却难以呈现在用户面前。基于这个背景，关于Web数据库的集成的研究已经成为一个极具意义的研究课题。为了向人们提供一个有效的统一的访问Web数据库、获取所需信息的方法，本文在对目前各类集成方案的分析基础上，提出并建立了一个基于Web服务和元数据技术的访问Web数据库的方案和架构，使用户能透明跨平台地
