3、llandceilingfinishes,givenundertheEUConstructionProductsDirective(89/106/EEC),andisintendedtoleadtoCEmarking.ThedateofapplicabilityofEN12057asa“harmonized”EuropeanStandard,i.e.thedateafterwhichthisstandardmaybeusedforCEmarkingpurposes,issubjecttoanannouncementintheOfficialJournaloftheEuropeanCommu
4、nities.TheCommissioninconsultationwithMemberStateshasagreedatransitionperiodfortheco-existenceof“harmonized”EuropeanStandardsandtheircorrespondingnationalstandard(s).Itisintendedthatthisperiodwillcompriseaperiod,usuallyninemonths,afterthedateofavailabilityoftheEuropeanStandard,duringwhichanyrequir
5、edchangestonationalregulationsaretobemade,followedbyafurtherperiod,usuallyof12months,fortheimplementationofCEmarking.Attheendofthisco-existenceperiod,thenationalstandard(s)willbewithdrawn.EN12057:2004isthesubjectoftransitionalarrangementsagreedundertheCommissionmandate.IntheUK,therearenocorrespond
