1、TheComparisonbetweenEnglishandChineseTaboosAbstract:Withthedevelopmentofeconomicglobalization,theneedsofInterculturalCommunicationhavebeenincreased.Asweallknow,languageshavetightconnectionwithcultures,peoplewithdifferentculturebackgroundswillrunintokindsofproblems,misunderstandingandcolli
2、sion.Tosolvetheproblem,manylinguistshavedonealotresearch.Agreatquantityshowsthatlanguageispartofthecultureandisalsothecarrierofculture,theuseoflanguagereflecttheconnotationoftheculture.Languagecan’texpressthedeepandcomprehensivemeaningswithoutculturebackgrounds,socialculturecontextandcomm
3、unicativecontext.Tabooexistsineachcultureasaspeciallanguagephenomenon,therearehugedifferencesofTaboowordsamongthedifferentculturesandpeopleseemoffensivewithoutknowingthetabooinotherpeople’slanguage.So,theresearchandstudybecomesignificant.ThispaperwillfocusonthedifferencebetweenEnglishandC
