5、ontrast,grosserrorsareabsorbedinparametersthatresultinremarkabledistortionofthetransformation.Forthisreason,anoptimaltransformationmusthavetheabilitytosimulatesignalsandsystematicerrors(simulationability)andalsotodetectanddefendagainstgrosserrors(reliability).Precisionisgenerallyconsidere

6、dtobeauniqueindicatorthatreflectsthequalityofatransformation(WellsandVanicek1975;Appelbaum1982;Featherstoneetal.1999).Chenetal.(2005)proposedanumberofsimulationindicatorsforevaluationoftheperformanceofatransformation.Youetal.(2006)usedleast-squarescollocationtoeliminatenoisefromcommonpoin
