3、temforexample)thenthefacedetectionstagecanoftenbeskipped,astheregionofinterestisalreadyknown.Therefore,wediscusseyelocalisationhere,withabriefdiscussionoffacedetectionintheliteraturereview(section3.1.1).Theeyelocalisationmethodisusedtoalignthe2Dfaceimagesofthevarioustestsetsusedthr

4、oughoutthissection.However,toensurethatallresultspresentedarerepresentativeofthefacerecognitionaccuracyandnotaproductoftheperformanceoftheeyelocalisationroutine,allimagealignmentsaremanuallycheckedandanyerrorscorrected,priortotestingandevaluation.Wedetectthepositionoftheeyeswithina
