3、retrievalwillfollowbyusingallthreesetsoffeaturesinthereducedsearchspaceinthesecondstage.DifferentfromeccentricityandACH,theCCDcurveisncitherscaling-invariantnorrotation-invariant.Therefore,normalisationisrequiredfortheCCDcurvetoachievescalinginvariance,andstartingpointlocat
4、ionisrequiredtoachieverotationinvariancewiththesimilaritymeasureofCCDcurves.Athinning-basedmethodisproposedtolocatestartingpointsofleafimagecontours,sothattheapproachusedismorecomputationallycfficient.Actually,themethodcanbencfitothershaperepresentationsthataresensitivetost
5、artingpointsbyreducingthematchingtimcinimagerecognitionandretrieval.Experimentalresultson1400leafimagesfrom140plantsshowthattheproposedapproachcanachieveabetterretrievalperformancethanboththecurvaturescalespace(CSS)methodandthemodifiedFourierdescriptor(MFD)method.Inaddition
