1、摘要随着我国高等教育大众化的不断发展，新建本科院校的数量越来越多，逐渐成为我国高等教育的重要组成部分。在这些新建本科院校中，有一些原来由行业主管部门主管的院校，它们所具有的行业背景在众多新建本科院校中具有独特的办学优势。在高等教育竞争异常激烈的现状下，这些具有行业背景的新建本科院校如何保持住原有的办学优势，同时又依托传统特色学科，结合自身办学实际，创造出新的办学特色，是一个值得研究者关注的实际问题。在本研究中，笔者运用文献分析法、个案分析法、访谈法等研究方法对具有行业背景的新建本科院校办学特色问题展开研究。首先对有关新建本科院校办学特色及相关的高校办学特色的文

2、献进行了梳理，从已有的研究中找出本研究的理论基础：其次，笔者通过对几所具有行业背景的本科院校的发展现状进行分析，总结出各院校的经验做法；再次，以南昌工程学院为个案，对其办学的历史沿革、特色学科、特色专业、办学特色的现状及存在问题进行分析；最后，提出对具有行业背景的新建本科院校办学特色的传承与创新的相关建议。关键词：具有行业背景；新建本科院校；办学特色；传承；创新AbstractWi廿1thecontinUOUSdevelopmentofChina’Shighereducationpopularization．newly-builtcollegesaredeve
