1、OntheRoleofInterestinEnglishWritingTeachingⅠ.IntroductionEnglisheducationhasbecomemoreandmoreimportantintheclassofChina,especiallyafterChinaenteredtheWorldTradeOrganization.Inotherwords,Chinawillplayamoreandmoreimportantroleintheinternationalareapoliticallyandeconomicallyinthebackgroundoftheglob

2、alization.Undoubtedly,itisachallengeforourEnglishteaching.English,asanimportantlanguageincommunicationofthewholeworld,atfirstsight,seemscomplicating,infactitisnotthecase.Ingeneral,Englishskillsincludefourbasicparts,listening,speaking,readingandwriting.Usuallymostteachersandstudentstakelittlenoti

3、ceoftheEnglishwritingandmostofthemareboredatit.AsoneoffourbasicsectionsofEnglish,however,Englishwritinghasnotreceivedenoughattentionforalongtimeinmiddleschools,eveninuniversities.WhenwerefertoEnglishwriting,manyteachersandstudentsshakeheadswithit.Totheteachers’pointofview,itisdifficulttoteachEng

4、lishwriting.Studentscannotmakegreatprogressinshortperiod.Somostteachersimplanttheideaasrecitesomemodelessaysbeforetheexams.Foralongtime,thestudentsbegintolookdownuponitandthinkitnothingserious.Thesituationgetsworseandworse.Thismakeslotsofstudentshavegreatdisadvantages,whicharethebarriersofbecomi

5、ngexcellentEnglishlearnersintheirfuture.Inordertodevelopstudents’Englishwritingability,differentpeoplechoosemanykindsofmethods,suchasspecialEnglishwritingtrainingcourses,Englishtutors,recitingclassicalcompositionsandsoon.Einsteinoncesaid:“Interestisthebestteacher.”SointerestisthebestteacherinEng

6、lishwriting.Wemayhavesuchexperiencesthatwhenyoudosomethingyoulike,possiblyyouwilldoitwell,whileyoudonothaveanyinterestinsomething,butyouhavetodoit,thenyoudoitasaappointedtask,itmaybedonebadly,becauseyoutendtothinkthattheonlythingyoushoulddoistofinishitnomatterhowtheresultis.Englishwritingissucha
