4、htheseactivitiesthatIwillreferto.MypurposeofthethesisistosuggestthatacommunicativeapproachtospeakingactivitiesshouldbemadefulluseofinourhighschoolEnglishteaching,becauseinChina,atpresent,althoughmoststudentshaveagoodmasteryoflinguisticknowledgeandarealwaysgoodatstructuralan

5、alysisandcandomultiple-choicequestionsextremelywell,theylackcommunicativecompetence,thatistosay,theycannotusetheknowledgetheyhavelearnedfromtheirtextbooksinpracticalsituations.Thediscussionisdirectedmainlytowardsacommunicativeapproachtospeakingactivities,suchaspairwork,grou
