2、(publicationinprogress),researchers’personalexperienceandoninsightsfromtheavailableliterature.cGrath(1996).Theubiquitousemergenceofteamculturesinorganizations,largeandsmall,isaresponsetothesechallenges.LipnackandStamps(1999)agreethattoday’sorganization“ismadeupofvirtualteams
3、andsandtheid,beestheconceptualmodelofhoculturegainedcurrencybecauseteamsbecameseenascost-effectiveanceicenvironmentthatcallsforongoingchange”(Quinn,Faerman,Thompson,andMcGrath;1996).Recentadvancesintechnologyhavefacilitatedextendingtheteamconcepttovirtualteams,definedasteams
4、“onpurposethatusestechnologytocrosstimezones,distance,andtheboundariesoforganizations”(LipnackandStamp,1999).BAprograminCaliforniaandSingapore.MBAstudents,anagers,anagerialattitudesandthusassuremaximumreliabilityofthedata,givingthestudyextraainobjectivesinmind:Firstly,toiden
5、tifyanagerssarequirementsandperformancecriteriadifferentfromthoseofon-siteteamsand,secondly,anagers’perceptionsastorequirements,efficacyandeffectivenessofoff-siteversuson-siteteamschangedafterexposuretoasimulatedvirtualteamenvironment.Thepresentationentedtheliteratureonon-si
