3、agnosedandtreatedfrom1991to2004.NiypercentofthepatientshadasinglesiteofMALTinvolvement―skin(26%),salivaryglands(18%),orbit(14%),ALT)areextranodallophomasthatrepresent8%ofallnon-Hodgkin’slymphomas(NHLs)[13].MALTlymphomasareindolentdisordersthattypicallyaffectpatientsofmiddleandadvancedage,predomina
4、ntlyen[26]. Althoughtraditionallyconsideredalocalizedtypeoflymphoma,disseminationatdiagnosishasbeenreportedin34%ofallMALTlymphomas(includinggastriclymphoma)[5].ThediseasemaydisseminateentofasingleMALTsiteormultiplemucosallocalizations)ormayspreadoutsidetheMALT(lymphnodesandbonemarroent)asaresulto
5、fthelossofthemucosalhomingproperties[5,6].Accordingtothesefindings,thetraditionalconceptofMALTlymphomaasalocalizeddiseasedoesnotseemappropriate,indicatingtheneedforextensivestaginginallpatients[7]. HoinateddiseaseinnongastricMALTlymphomasremainsacontroversialissue:intheLyonseries,52%ofpatientshad
6、advanceddiseaseand25%hadbonemarroent[8],phomaStudyGroup(IELSG)study,thepercentagesinationhasaprognosticvalueisstilldebatable:theLyonresearchersfoundamedianprogression-freesurvivaltimeof5yearsforallpatientsinateddisease[8].TheIELSG,incontrast,foundthatadvanceddiseasearroententofnongastricMALTlympho
