5、kedaboutthefrequencythattheyengagedininterpersonalconflictandreceivedhugsthatday. Then,theresearchersexposedtheparticipantstoacommoncoldvirus,andmonitoredthemtoassesssignsofinfection.Theyfoundthatbothperceivedsocialsupportandmorefrequenthugsreducedtheriskofinfectionassociatedwit
6、hexperiencinginterpersonalconflict.Regardlessofwhetherornottheyexperiencedsocialconflicts,infectedparticipantswithgreaterperceivedsocialsupportandmorefrequenthugshadlesssevereillnesssymptoms. “Thissuggeststhatbeinghuggedbyatrustedpersonmayactasaneffectivemeansofconveyingsupporta
