3、parobusttabletwhileminimizingtheamountofwastecreatedduringthedevelopmentprocess.Thecurrentstudywasintendedtodeterminewhethertablethardnessandweightcouldbecontrolledduringthecompressionprocesswithproperadjustmenttocertainmachineparameters.Inthisstudy,aPharmatechMB015
4、intermediatebulkcontainer(IBC)blenderwasusedtoprepareablendconsistingofmicrocrystallinecellulose(MCC,AvicelPH102,FMCBioPolymer)asthebulkingredientandmagnesiumstearate(Ligamed)asalubricanttoimproveflowbehavior.Theblendratioof98%MCCto2%magnesiumstearatewasrotatedinthe
5、asymmetricalIBCbinfor10minataspeedof20rpm.Followingtheblendingprocess,thepowdermixturewasdispensedintoahopperaboveaFette(Rockaway,NJ)102itabletpress.The102iisa24-stationresearch-scalerotarytabletpresscapableofproducing172,800tablets/hatitsmaximumrotationalspeed.Fort
6、hissetofexperiments,12ofthetabletpress'sstationsweresetup,andtheselectedtablettoolingproducedastandardconvexroundtabletwitha7.5-mmdiameterandacupdepthof0.79mm.Pretrialtestingwasperformedtoestablishupperandlowerlimitsforthevariablesthatweredeterminedcrucialtoproducin
7、garobusttablet.Alltestingwasperformedduringthecourseofthreedaysinacontrolledenvironmentof70°Fand45%relativehumidity.Fiveparameterswereselectedasmainvariablesforthetabletingprocess.Thefirstwasturretspeed,forwhichalimitof20,000–70,000tablets/hwasset.Theturretspeed,nor
