2、RIORFOSSA1.SUPERIORGROUPItconsistsofveinsthatdraintotheveinofGalen,including:1.Theprecentralcerebellarvein2.Thesuperiorvermianvein3.Theanteriorpontomesencephalicvein4.Thelateralandposteriormesencephalicveins.1.1PrecentralcerebellarveinItisoneofthemostimportantlandmark

3、intheposteriorfossa,whichdividesthesuperiorpartoftheposteriorfossaintotheanteriorandposteriorhalf.Theprecentralcerebellarveinliesinthefissurebetweenthelingulaandcentrallobeofthecerebellarvermis.Itisformedbytheconvergenceofthebrachialveins.1.2SuperiorvermianveinItoutli

4、nesthesuperiorpartofthevermisinlateralprojection.Itisformedbytheconvergenceoftheveinsdrainingtheculmenofthevermis.ItgoessuperiorlyfromtheculmenofthevermisandendsintheGalen’sveinordirectlydrainsintotheprecentralcerebellarvein.AbovethevermisisthetriangleformedbytheGalen

5、’svein,superiorvermianveinandthestraightsinus,wherelocatesthesupracerebellarcistern.1.3PosteriormesencephalicveinItmaybesingleormultiple,afterarisingfromtheinterpeduncularfossa,itgoesalongthelateralaspectofthemesencephalon,thengoesposteriorly,superiorlyandmediallyarou

6、ndthemidbraintoentertheveinofGalenortheposteriorpartoftheinternalcerebralvein.ItssizevariesinverselywiththebasalveinofRosenthal.Itmayconnectwiththepetrosalveinviathelateralmesencephalicvein.1.4AnteriorpontomesencephalicveinItcollectsseveralsmallveinsandrunsposteriorly

7、toentertheinterpeduncularfossa,thendescendsalongtheanteriorsurfaceoftheponsinthemidline.ItusuallydrainsintothebasalveinofRosenthalortheposteriormesencephalicvein.Inlateralprojections,itoutlinestheinterpeduncularcisternandthesuperiorpontinecistern.1.5Lateralmesencephal
