4、eeandrange.Businessperformanceismeasuredbytwodimensions:profitabilityandabilitytogrow.Inaddition,therearethreevariablestomeasureprofitability:ROA,ROEandEPS,andoperatingprofitgrowthisusedtomeasuretheabilitytogrow.Basedonthedataanalysis,thisresearchstudiestherelationshipbetweencross-regi
5、onalexpansionandfirmperformance,andcomparethesetwocross-regionalexpansionpatterns.Basedontheresults,thispaperdrawstheconclusionsasfollows.Firstly,thestudyfindsoutthataChinesecompany’scross-rationexpansionhasasignificantlypositiveeffectonperformance,butthedegreeofcross-provincehasanegat
6、iveeffectonitsprofitability.However,therangehasnosignificanteffect;aservicecompany’scross-nationexpansionhasanevenmorepositiveeffectonitssizethancross-province.Therefore,theservicebusinessinChinashouldpaymoreattentiontothecross-nationexpansionthatcanbehelpfultoenhancetheperformancewhen
