4、commonalities,eachexperienceisuniquetothefaculty-librarianteam.Thispaperoffersourperspectivesonourexperiences,describestheirinception,growth,anddevelopment,andoffersthoughtsonhowourworkreflectscurrenteducationalpractices.Whilethethrustofthispaperisto
5、describeeachcollaborationinitsdistinctiveness,itcanbefairlysaidthateachconstitutesaspeciesoftheembeddedgenus.Whatmakesembeddedlibrarianshipworkisitsflexibility,whichhasallowedforuniquecollaborationstoflourish.Theterm“embeddedlibrarianship”wascoinedby
6、Dewey(2004),anditreferstotheactofembeddingoneselfinthepopulationbeingserved,actingastoachieveadeeperlevelofintegrationwithinthegroup,whichrequires“moredirectandpurposefulinteractionthanactinginparallel”(6)withthem.ShumakerandTalleydescribeembeddedlib
