2、nexceededCCD's.CMOSimageseneorbecomesthefocusofimagesensor.Inthispaper,thedevelopinghistoryandpresentsituationofCMOSimagesensorinsideandoutsideofChinaweresummarized.ThecharacteristicsbetweenCMOSimagesensorandCCDimagesensorwerecomparedandtheresearchpurposeandmeaningwaspointedout
3、.Onthebasisofintroducingsemiconductorphotoelectriceffect,thecharacteristicsofthePNjunctioninthestateofthermalequilibriumconditionsandilluminationconditionwasanalyzedindetail.ThePhotoelectriccharacteristicsofphotodiodeusedinCMOSimagesensorweredeeplydiscussed,anditsI-Vcharacteris
4、ticandequivalentcircuitwasgiven.TraditionalphotodiodeactivepixelusedNMOSFETastheresettransisitor,whichexistedthresholdlossintheprocessofsignaltransmission.thismadetheoutput-swingofthecircuitwasrestricted.InthepaperapixelstructureinwhichaPMOSFETwasusedtoreplacetheNMOSFETastheres
5、ettransisitorwasproposed,andthetransisitorsofitwerealldesignedoptimization.UsingsoftwareHSPICEtosimulate,theresultsshowedthattheimprovedpixelcircuithadahighoutput-swingandahighdynamicrange.ThereadoutcircuitisanimportantelementoftheCMOSimagesensor,thetraditionalCDScircuitwasanyl
6、yzedanditsperformancewassimulated.TheconventionalCDScircuitneedstwesample-holdcircuits,inwhichasample-controlMOStransisitor,asample-holdcapacitanceandanoutputbufferareneeded.Afterthat,apublicdifferentialamplifierisalsoneededtorealizethedifferentialoutput.Theusedoflargenumbertra
7、nsistorsoccupiedalotofthechiparea,andincreasetheconsumptionofthecircuit.InthepaperanewstructureofthereadoutcircuitCDSstructurewaspresented,thecircuitisnotonlysimpleinstructure,butalsolowpowerconsumption,lownoiseandsingle-endedoutput.Thesimulationresultshowedthatatthecircumstanc
8、esofthepowersupplyvoltageof1.8V,thepowerdissipationoft
