5、cientcapitalofculture.Itisthelargesteducation,scienceandtechnology,industryandCommerceandtourismcityinthetheYellowRiverRiverBasin.Theurbanareais9983km22000.Thetotalpopulationofthecityis6million880thousand.ThewaterresourcesinXi'anareextremelyshort,andthepercapitawaterresourcesshare
6、is316m3,whichisonlyequivalentto13%ofthewholecountry.Foralongtime,thecityreliesonthesingleundergroundwatersupply,thegroundwaterisseriouslyoverexploited,thegroundwaterleveldropsgreatly,resultinginaseriesofenvironmentalgeologicalproblems,suchaslandsubsidence,buildingcracksandsoon.The
