9、ewasonthepointofflyingtoIndiawherehewouldhavenotimetohimself.OnhisreturntoCalifornia,inFebruary1983,hedictatedthefirstofthepiecescontainedinthisvolumeintoanewSonytape-recorder.Allthedictationsexceptonewererecordedfromhishome,PineCottage,intheOjaiValley,someeightymilesnorthofLosAngeles.He

10、woulddictateinthemornings,whileinbedafterbreakfast,undisturbed.KrishnamurtihadfirststayedatPineCottagewithhisbrotherin1922,whenitwaslenttohimbyafriend,anditwasthere,inAugust,'22,thatheunderwentaspiritualexperiencethattransformedhislife.Soonafterwards,aTrustwasformedtowhichmoneywassubscri
