2、ctlyregulatecivilrelationsandtomeettherequirementsofthedevelopmentoftheconstructionofsocialistmodernisation,inaccordancewiththeConstitutionandactualconditionsinChinaanddrawingonthepracticalexperienceofcivilactivities.Article_2TheCivilLawofthePeople'sRepublicofChinaregul
3、ates,onthebasisofequality,thepropertyandpersonalrelationshipsbetweencitizens,betweenlegalpersonsandbetweencitizensandlegalpersons.Article_3Partiesconcernedshallenjoyequalityofpositionintheircivilactivities.Article_4Civilactivitiesshallrespecttheprinciplesofvoluntarypart
4、icipation,equity,compensationatequalvalueandhonestyandtrustworthiness.Article_5Thelegitimaterightsandinterestsofcitizensandlegalpersonsareprotectedbylawandmaynotbeviolatedbyanyorganisationorindividual.Article_6Civilactivitiesmustrespectthelaw.Wherethelawhasnoprovisionsw
5、ithregardtocivilactivities,theyshallrespectStatepolicies.Article_7Civilactivitiesshallrespectsocialmoralprinciplesandshallnotharmthecommoninterestsofsociety,damageStateeconomicplansordisruptsocialeconomicorder.Article_8Unlessotherwisestipulatedbylaw,thelawsofthePeople's
6、RepublicofChinashallapplytocivilactivitiescarriedoutwithintheterritoryofthePeople'sRepublicofChina.Unlessotherwisestipulatedbylaw,theprovisionsofthisLawwithregardtocitizensapplytoforeignnationalsandstatelesspersonswithintheterritoryofthePeople'sRepublicofChina.ChapterII
