2、theverificationofIUTeich.Inthepresentreport,Iwishtoreportonvariousnewdevelopmentsthathavecometopassduringtheyearsubsequenttothisprogressreport.(1)In2014,IgavetwotalksconcerningIUTeich,asfollows:February20,2014(2hours+2hours,RIMSNumberTheorySeminar);May24,2014(2hours+2hours,KumamotoUnive
3、rsity).Thelecturenotesforthesetwotalksareslightlymodified/enhancedversionsofthelecturenotesfortalksthatIgaveinthepastonIUTeich.Ontheotherhand,Itookadvantageofthesomewhatlengthenedtimeslotsinthecaseofthesetwotalks(i.e.,bycomparisontoprevioustalks)togivemoredetailedexplanationsandtoanswer
4、questionsposedbymembersoftheaudience.Icontinuedtoedittheselecturenotesonnumerousinstancessubsequenttothetwotalks;thecurrentversionofthelecturenotes(togetherwithasurvey([Pano])thatdiscussesessentiallythesamematerial)maybefoundonmywebsite.TheFebruarytalkwasintendedmainlyforyoungpeopleatR
5、IMS,suchasgraduatestudentsandpost-doctoralresearchers,aswellasforresearcherslivingintheKansaiareaofJapan(i.e.,closetoKyotoUniversity)whohavebeenattendingtheseminarformanyyears;theaudienceconsistedofroughly10to20people.Bycontrast,theaudienceoftheMaytalk,whichresultedfromaninvitationbyPr
6、ofessorFumiharuKatoofKumamotoUniversity,consistedofroughly40to50peoplemainlyfromuniversitiesintheKyushuregionofJapan(i.e.,closetoKumamotoUniversity),suchasKyushuUniversity.TheinvitationbyProfessorKatowas,toacertainextent,anaturaloutcomeoftheseminarconcerningIUTeichthatIconductedwithPro
