4、omhumanactivitiesnationwide.Risingfuelusealsohasenormousimplicationsforprotectionofwildernessandpubliclands(vulnerabletoincreased14exploration),waterresources(vulnerabletotankerandpipelineaccidents),andnationalsecurity.Sotheopportunitytosavemoneyandimproveenvironmentalqualitythroughfueluser
5、eductionsisclear.Oneofthemostpromisingopportunitiesforfuelsavingsacrosstheentirefleetofexistingvehiclesistoutilizelowrollingresistancetiresinsteadofstandardreplacementmodels.Thischangeimprovestheinherentefficiencyofthevehicle,automaticallysavingfueloverthetypical30,000to50,000milelifetimeof
6、asetoftires.Thisreportexaminestheopportunityforsavinggasolinethroughuseofimprovedtiretechnologyandrecommendsparticulartiremodelsforwhichourinitialtestdatasuggestenvironmentaladvantages.Itsfindingsareapplicabletogovernmentandcorporatefleetmanagersaswellasindividualtirebuyers.2.HowTiresCanRed
