5、geinlengthfromoneparagraphtoseveralparagraphs.Thetestcontainsapproximately10passages,themajorityofwhichareoneparagraphinlengthandonlyoneortwoofwhichareseveralparagraphslong.Passagesaredrawnfromthephysicalsciences,biologicalsciences,socialsciences,business,artsandhumanitiesa

6、ndeverydaytopicsandarebasedonmaterialfoundinbooksandperiodicals,bothacademicand nonacademic.Typically,abouthalfofthequestionsonthetestwillbebasedonpassages,andthenumberofquestionsbasedonagivenpassagecanrangefromonetosix.Questionscancoveranyofthetopicslistedabove,fromthemean

7、ingofaparticularwordtoassessingevidencethatmightsupportorweakenpointsmadeinthepassage.Many,butnotall,ofthequestionsarestandardmultiple-choicequestions,inwhichyouarerequiredtoselectasinglecorrectanswer;othersaskyoutoselectmultiplecorrectanswers;andstillothersaskyoutoselectas
