2、itiesforpeakdemandreductionandenergysav-ElectricPowerSystem(AEP)in1973[3].Afterthat,manyutil-ingsthroughreducingthevoltageleveloftheelectricaldistributionitiessuchasSouthernCaliforniaEdison(SCE)[4],Northeastsystem.Thispaperpresentsanin-depthreviewonimplementingUtilities(NU)[5],BonnevillePowe

3、rAdministration(BPA)[6],andassessingCVR.ThemethodologiestoquantifyCVReffectsarecategorizedintocomparison-based,regression-based,syn-BCHydro[7],NorthwestEnergyEfficiencyAlliance(NEEA)thesis-basedandsimulation-basedmethods.Theimplementation[8],HydroQuebec(HQ)[9],andDominionVirginiaPower[10]stra

4、tegiesforvoltagereductionareclassifiedintoopen-loopconductedtheirCVRtestsandobtainedsignificantoutcomesandclosed-loopmethods.Theimpactsofemergingsmart-gridofenergysavingsassociatedwithvoltagereduction,usuallytechnologiesonCVRarealsodiscussed.Thepapercanproviderangingfrom0.3%to1%loadreductionpe

5、r1%voltagere-researchersandutilityengineerswithfurtherinsightsintothestateoftheart,technicalbarriersandfutureresearchdirectionsduction.RecentstudiesshowthatdeploymentofCVRonallofCVRtechnologies.distributionfeedersoftheUnitedStatescouldprovidea3.04%IndexTerms—Conservationvoltagereduction(CVR)

6、,demandreductionintheannualnationalenergyconsumption[11].CVRreduction,distributionsystem,energysaving.wasalsowidelytestedinothercountries,suchasAustralia[12]andIreland[13].Itwasfoundthat2.5%voltagereductionre-sultedin1%energysavingsonresidentialcircuitsinAustralia.I.INTRODUCTIONApplyingCVRto
