5、ilized)machines/equipmentareturnedo whentheywillbeidleforacertainamountoftime.Usingthisfact,sev-eraldispatchingrulesareproposed.Adetailedperformanceanalysisindicatesthattheproposeddispatchingrulesaree ectiveindecreasingtheenergyconsumptionofespeciallyunderutilizedmanufacturin
6、gequipment.Inaddition,amulti-objectivemathematicalprogrammingmodelisproposedtominimizetheenergyconsumptionandtotalcompletiontime.Usingthisapproach,aproductionmanagerwillhaveasetofnondominatedsolutions(i.e.,thesetofecientsolutions)whichhe/shecanusetodeterminethemostecientpro
